I absolutely LOVE rainy days – especially when I don’t have to leave the house! I was busy pottering about one wet morning, when I noticed Little Red watching the rain from her bedroom window. The light that comes through was filtered by the clouds, and she’d only opened the curtains a tiny bit. I rushed to get my camera and captured my gorgeous girl dancing on the bed and being her carefree self!
LATER THAT DAY
Later that day, Copperhead asked me if I would take a photo of her dress. Now, it’s quite unlike her to ask me to do this so I readily obliged. It came just after a delivery of a new lens as well so the timing was just all kinds of perfect!
I love capturing clients as they are, whether it’s in their home environment or candidly on location. I must admit though, it’s sometimes a bit harder for me to do this with my own children. We’re normally so busy going from here to there and I’m often carrying several bags so that adding a heavy camera around my neck isn’t a priority! However, I am starting to capture the mundane a lot more with my own family. I’m constantly spouting about how lifestyle photography is the bees knees, so it’s about time I actually slow down during my day and capture more of these tiny moments.
Until next time,
